Both produce the same product, but the heart of each is different.
Sin management = less sin, little to no sin, legalistic thinking, no change of heart, the belief that you are saved through works, condemnation, shame
Grace = liberty, life without sin, conviction, lifestyle change, heart change, spiritual growth, spiritual maturity
God loves us so much, He will tell us when we are going down the wrong path. Many people think that grace gives us a pass to sin, but it doesn’t.
Reading “Hyper-Grace” by Michael L Brown. Love it! Learning so much about the Grace message that many are teaching nowadays.
Heal my mind. Heal my body. Heal my heart. Heal my relationships. Heal my attitude. Heal my emotions. Heal my mouth. Heal my spirit. Heal my actions. Redeemer.
It’s easy to remain unforgiving to others, tell them everything they’ve done wrong and what punishment they deserve. However, what if God was to judge us in the same way we judge others?
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, & lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, & He shall direct your paths.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, & do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, & he will make straight your paths.
Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong & courageous. Do not be frightened, & do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Exodus 14:14 The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.
Do not be tricked and do not be discouraged by listening to the voices that try to put you down with what you used to do and what your old habits are. Old things have passed away, behold all things have become new! Many times we want to harp on our own sins, we constantly remind ourselves of our wicked nature & don’t even notice what God is doing on our behalf! We can’t even appreciate what God is doing NOW and what He has already done. Once you have repented, even He doesn’t remember your sins anymore! God knows of your sinful nature, but He has given you a new nature. He calls you righteous. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (that’s Jesus!). Through Jesus we can become the righteousness of God! Repent, turn away from your sin, and accept the freedom you have in the new covenant of Jesus Christ. Accept the father’s love & tell yourself, “I am forgiven. He has forgiven me, and I forgive myself”. Free yourself from guilt. You will still make mistakes & you will still fall, but by the grace of God He will be right there to pick you back up again, but you have to let Him. Don’t let the enemy try to convince you that you are not the righteousness of God, and you are cast down with no chance of redemption. Don’t beat yourself up so much that you don’t even give God a chance to do a work in you while also loving you (Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us). Sometimes we can burden God with our sins & weary Him with our offenses (18:24). Tell those voices to be quiet, accept the freedom of being a child of God, and walk in your righteousness!
Isaiah 43:19 Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness & streams in the wasteland.
