Part 2

“Now honestly there are some times when I feel like God isn’t present w me. That He is letting me go through life w/o Him & He’s letting me deal w everything on my own. He hasn’t left you to deal w everything on your own, if anything He’s probably trying to bring you to something greater. It’s just like when you’re teaching a child to walk. First you’re not that far from them, you’re like 2 steps away from them and you say walk to me. You don’t stand there forever bc you want the child to learn to walk so everyday you go farther & farther away from the child so they can learn to reach out on their own so one day you won’t have to coach them & show them how to walk. That child might fall & it may hurt you but you know if you stand right in front of that child they aren’t going to ever learn how to walk on their own. It’s the same way w God, He may step back but He never leaves us. And even though He would love to always be right there in front of us, He knows that if He doesn’t challenge us or groom us w life’s trials we won’t ever come to fully be what He has called us to be. There may be a time when we don’t see God right in front of us, bc we keep falling down when we’re going though this walk but if we look forward, stay focused, & listen to His voice, & follow the voice that says “Walk to Me”, we will see that He never left us, He’s right there towards the end cheering us on. Whatever it is you’re going through, I know that you will overcome it. And when you do, the enemy is going to have to come much harder than that. Remember Romans 8:28 for I reckon that the present sufferings cannot be compared to the glory that is to be revealed to us. One of my favorite quotes is

“Lord you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me alone.”
God replied, “My precious, precious man, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.”

Be encouraged.”

His Time & My Time

Brush my teeth, walk out the door
I forgot to thank you Lord
Sitting down for lunch, laughing at jokes w friends,
Didn’t bow & say amen
Dirty jokes but nonetheless it was all in good fun.
We talk and ya know Some is better than none..
Forget what they say no man can judge, only my beloved but
We’re distant acquaintances at the moment..
But I love you and you know it,
Ignore my stoic demeanor, my careless attitude
I’m still true to you
My Heavenly Father.
The world you created takes home on my shoulder blades,
Running back & forth, being pulled to here & there, do I go, do I stay
I’m busy and so are you, I know you are you’re holding the world too.
You made time for me throughout the day, I didn’t make time for you.
Take off my jacket, run the water for a shower
Still haven’t devoted even less than an hour.
Lay my head on the bed, anticipating rest for the night
Still Haven’t introduced my darkness to your light.

For what is seen is temporary..

2 Cor 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

1 Peter 4:16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.

For me, being a Christian is the easy choice. Romans 8:28 tells us that, “we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” So choosing this lifestyle was the better choice. I wanted things to work for good, and I also wanted to accept God’s plan for my life (Jeremiah 29:11). However, there will be some sort of suffering, some kind of trial and tribulation, and in one or another you may be persecuted for what you believe. The scripture in the above picture (2 Cor 6:10) is one of my favorites because it captures one of my favorite things about being Christian. There are times when we grow tired or we lack in some area of our life, but the reality is that we possess something much greater than what we can see, hear, or touch. You can call these things spiritual blessings or inheritances, or just simply having inner peace and a relationship with the Heavenly Father. If you are truly operating in the spirit of thanksgiving, it becomes hard to even acknowledge, or even focus, on the things of this world. The words people may curse you with, the rolled eyes, smacked lips, and the wandering minds seem to roll of your shoulder as you embrace them with love. My favorite part of that specific scripture is when it says, “We own nothing, yet we have everything.” WOW.

A relationship with Christ, inner peace, true forgiveness, everlasting love, fruits of the spirit, healing, content heart, overflow of the Holy Spirit, experiencing the presence of God, freedom in your spirit, an open mind, biblical knowledge & application, a lifestyle of worship, fellowship with other believers, covenant with Jesus Christ, ministering in spiritual gifts, the armor of God, a spirit of excellence, continual renewal of your mind, soul, body & heart, your “new man” = EVERYTHING

Set your gaze on Jesus, and you will never have the desire to look back.
Be blessed.

Lord, I’ve been absent..

As a Christian, you have your ups and downs. I know this suprising to some people who believe we just read scriptures on cloud 9 all day, but yes we actually have real lives, real problems! We fall and we make mistakes. We may miss out on a day or two of reading, we may get angry, and we may just not feel as “holy” as the days before. You must realize that this is not strange, this is the time to go harder for God! Don’t pay attention to your feelings because you are going to feel like you aren’t worthy or you’re going to feel guilty. Some days you are going to feel like just “not praising as much today”, but whenever you feel that that’s when you should praise even harder! God is trying to bring you a new level. God is trying to get you to rely on Him even more. We can’t do it in our own strength, so lean on your sovereign help today! Don’t beat yourself up and pout and go on and on about why you should just give up. Just know that in our weakness, He is made strong! If you have need to repent, then repent and move on!

Sometimes I think God is like, “I wish you would get over it. I already forgave you, now can you get off your high horse so I can do some amazing things with you”. Don’t be held back by your personal pride and your faults, because your God isn’t. Praise your God higher than you praise your problems.

“Have you prayed about it as much as you have talked about it?”

Isaiah 43:25 I, I am the one who blots out your transgressions for my sake, and I will not remember your sins.

James 1:12 God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
