For what is seen is temporary..

2 Cor 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

1 Peter 4:16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.

For me, being a Christian is the easy choice. Romans 8:28 tells us that, “we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” So choosing this lifestyle was the better choice. I wanted things to work for good, and I also wanted to accept God’s plan for my life (Jeremiah 29:11). However, there will be some sort of suffering, some kind of trial and tribulation, and in one or another you may be persecuted for what you believe. The scripture in the above picture (2 Cor 6:10) is one of my favorites because it captures one of my favorite things about being Christian. There are times when we grow tired or we lack in some area of our life, but the reality is that we possess something much greater than what we can see, hear, or touch. You can call these things spiritual blessings or inheritances, or just simply having inner peace and a relationship with the Heavenly Father. If you are truly operating in the spirit of thanksgiving, it becomes hard to even acknowledge, or even focus, on the things of this world. The words people may curse you with, the rolled eyes, smacked lips, and the wandering minds seem to roll of your shoulder as you embrace them with love. My favorite part of that specific scripture is when it says, “We own nothing, yet we have everything.” WOW.

A relationship with Christ, inner peace, true forgiveness, everlasting love, fruits of the spirit, healing, content heart, overflow of the Holy Spirit, experiencing the presence of God, freedom in your spirit, an open mind, biblical knowledge & application, a lifestyle of worship, fellowship with other believers, covenant with Jesus Christ, ministering in spiritual gifts, the armor of God, a spirit of excellence, continual renewal of your mind, soul, body & heart, your “new man” = EVERYTHING

Set your gaze on Jesus, and you will never have the desire to look back.
Be blessed.
