You’ve all heard the phrase “someone else has it worse”, and the people who have it worse have the mindset of “someone else has it worse”. There is a world much bigger than ours. There are many more people, more souls. I challenge you to think about someone other than yourself. There is nothing wrong with having personal goals and being focused for the bettering of yourself, but would you rather say that you only helped yourself or you helped others and they actually ended up helping make you better?
Philippians 2:1-4 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness & compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit & purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
